Like its neighbor, The Bear Cave, The Tree House at Loveland Heights Cottages was newly remodeled in 2012. This classic one-bedroom condo on the river has comfortable accommodations for two — the perfect couple’s getaway for honeymoons or anniversaries.

At The Bear Cave, one private bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed. There is one full bath with a shower, and an open central living space with a connecting kitchen, dining area and sitting room. Best of all, these rooms all have large windows that fill the space with natural light.

The Bear Cave’s kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, cookware and modern large and small appliances. The dining area is part of the kitchen, with a table and chairs for two, while the living room nearby has a sofa, arm chairs, a great river view, and a television for rainy days.

Unique Features

This condo has huge windows that overlook the Big Thompson River! The Tree House is named for its tree top view, looking down on the water from the upper story. This upper-level vacation rental unit has both a patio on the ground floor where you can sit riverside at a picturesque bistro-style table, and a balcony-level sun deck where you can soak in the rays above the canopy. We provide the chairs and a barbecue grill!

Things To Do

From your cabin door, you can easily find our scenic River Walk that runs along the Big Thompson. Take a romantic stroll on the bank, or have a picnic in the wide, grassy lawn. You can also feel free to fish from the edge of our property — or even from your own patio.

The Tree House is just three miles from the quaint downtown area of Estes Park, Colorado. Known as the base for Rocky Mountain National Park, this picturesque city offers easy access to dozens of exciting outdoor adventure activities, and an aerial tramway up Prospect Mountain.

Some of our favorite things to do in the area include a drive through the stunning mountain landscape, hiking, mountain biking and photography, off-roading in rented jeeps or RVs, whitewater rafter, horseback riding, or a guided walking tour — with llamas!

About the Owner/Manager

Loveland Heights Cottages in Estes Park, CO, is made up of 22 private acres along the Big Thompson River. Our quiet, rustic grounds are covered in mature pine and aspen trees that offer their shade in summer and contribute to that “away from it all” atmosphere. Our oldest cabin was built all the way back in 1898, with the rest being added here and there along the way. We now have one-, two- and three-bedroom rental options starting as low as $115/night — one of the best values you’ll find in the Rocky Mountains.
